I went to take the trash last night and immediately noticed that my son's motorcycle was not there. Since he is in Japan I assumed that foul play was afoot. I called 9-1-1 and said "This is a non emergency call for the police" (you give the operator the option to take the call or pass you to another queue... the last thing I want is to be accused of misusing the 9-1-1 system!)
After I gave my info and hung up, within moments the operator called back to say that she thinks that the bike had been found and there would be an officer arriving at my house in a few minutes. Now this officer was sort of odd... there was a vibe about him that I couldn't put my finger on... I felt rather uncomfortable around him to be honest. So... he tells me that the Forney PD had found the bike abandoned and had impounded it. Now what am I supposed to do? its not licensed, registered, or insured... I have a half a mind to let the Forney PD keep it!
