I have been a routine public transit rider for over 2 years which leaves time to get back to reading... I had plenty of electronic devices to keep me occupied, Cell phone, MP3 player, and a PDA... all of which needed charging (at different intervals of course). Its such a bitch when the MP3 player or the PDA would die half way to work (eBooks are da bomb!). This year things were favorable to upgrade my phone so on my birthday I jumped on the iPhone bandwagon with both feet.
That being said, I have finished reading a series (with my iPhone eReader app...13 books so far in the series) written by 2 Viet Nam Veterans, Dan Cragg, US Army and David Sherman, US Marine Corps.
This series is called StarFIST a story about the fictional space Marine unit, 34th Fleet Initial Strike Team (FIST). I have really gotten into the story and the characters. Even though my AFSC (or MOS) had nothing to do with jumpin in the mud with my rifle and a full pack, I really identified with it. The series spoke to my inner warrior!
